Feminist Intellectuals Reception

Join the GCWS for the return of the Feminist Intellectuals Reception! Back for a third year, the FIR is a social event that connects feminist-minded faculty members from the GCWS Consortium to promote community, connections, and collaboration! 

There will be opportunities to meet faculty from other institutions and disciplines, and reconnect with colleagues from across the Consortium. There will also be an opportunity to learn more about GCWS, how to propose courses, and what we offer to faculty and students. 

The FIR is open to all faculty from GCWS member institutions (BC, BU, Brandeis, Harvard, MIT, Northeastern, Tufts, Simmons, and UMass Boston). 

It’s a social event, so appetizers and drinks are provided.

Parking:

• Street parking: You can find metered parking on Evans Way and Palace Road.

• Garage parking: There is limited, discounted parking at the Simmons University Garage. The Simmons University parking garage is located on the academic campus in the Management and Academic Building.

Public Transit:

Take MBTA green line E train (Heath Street) to Museum of Fine Arts stop. Turn right onto Louis Prang Street. From here you can see Simmons green cupola. Walk past Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum on left. Simmons University will be on left.
